WASHINGTON: According to a statement from the White House, US President Joe Biden signed a budget package on Saturday, preventing a partial government shutdown.
Just hours before the existing financing was set to expire, on Friday, the U.S. Senate approved spending legislation for a number of government agencies, prompting Biden to take action.
